Hi Julia,
I appreciate you sharing your story. I agree that cutting out refined sugars is the most low-hanging fruit when it comes to improving health.
I know that this will definitely be difficult for me during the holidays! To tackle this problem of overeating gingerbread cookies I usually fill up on other things before and keep my portion sizes low to reasonable.
That and of course pay extra attention to health and fitness in Janurary!
